Saturday Night at the Movies

In an age when families often watch entertainment separately, Bell Tower Cultural Center's Saturday Night at the Movies brings people back together for an evening of shared experiences, meaningful storytelling, and community connection.

Our September feature, The Art of Racing in the Rain, perfectly captures the spirit of the series. While racing provides the backdrop, the film is really about life, love, family, perseverance, and the extraordinary bond between humans and dogs. Told through the eyes of a beloved golden retriever named Enzo, the story explores the challenges and triumphs of marriage, parenthood, friendship, loss, and the determination to keep moving forward, even when life takes unexpected turns.

Like all films selected for this series, The Art of Racing in the Rain goes far beyond sports. It reminds us that life's greatest victories are often found not on the racetrack, but in the relationships we build and the loyalty we show to those we love. Its themes of resilience, devotion, sacrifice, and hope resonate across generations, making it a perfect evening for couples, friends, parents, grandparents, and dog lovers alike.

Adding to the experience are movie snacks and an optional light buffet dinner, creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax, connect, and enjoy an evening out together.

Saturday Night at the Movies reflects the Bell Tower Cultural Center's mission of bringing people together through programs that entertain, inspire, and strengthen community. By combining beloved films with universal themes and a comfortable social setting, the series offers more than a movie. It creates an opportunity to share laughter, conversation, memories, and the timeless stories that remind us of our common humanity.

Great Movies. Good Company. Meaningful Stories.
A night at the movies that feels like more.

Saturday Night at the Movies

In an age when families often watch entertainment separately, Bell Tower Cultural Center's Saturday Night at the Movies brings people back together for an evening of shared experiences, meaningful storytelling, and community connection.

Our October feature, For Love of the Game, perfectly captures the spirit of the series. While baseball provides the backdrop, the film is really about life, love, memory, sacrifice, and the choices that define us. Starring Kevin Costner, this thoughtful and emotionally rich story follows veteran pitcher Billy Chapel as he reflects on his career, relationships, dreams, and regrets during what may be the most important game of his life.

Like all films selected for this series, For Love of the Game goes far beyond sports. It reminds us that life's most meaningful moments are often found not in championships or accolades, but in the people we love and the memories we create along the way. Its themes of loyalty, perseverance, second chances, and personal reflection resonate across generations, making it a perfect evening for couples, friends, parents, grandparents, and baseball fans alike.

Adding to the experience are movie snacks, pre-show music, and an optional light buffet dinner, creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax, connect, and enjoy an evening out together.

Saturday Night at the Movies

In an age when families often watch entertainment separately, Bell Tower Cultural Center's Saturday Night at the Movies brings people back together for an evening of shared experiences, meaningful storytelling, and community connection.

Presented in cooperation with St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, Martins Creek, this special program serves as a dual fundraising event benefiting both organizations while strengthening the bonds that unite our community. Together, the Bell Tower Cultural Center and St. Rocco's share a commitment to creating opportunities for fellowship, enrichment, and meaningful connections among people of all ages.

Our November feature, The Hail Mary, perfectly captures the spirit of the series. While football provides the backdrop, the film is really about faith, family, redemption, perseverance, and the power of believing in something greater than yourself. Produced by local filmmaker Daniel Roebuck, this uplifting and inspiring story follows a struggling high school football team whose journey becomes about far more than wins and losses. Along the way, players, coaches, and families discover the importance of character, community, hope, and second chances.

Like all films selected for this series, The Hail Mary goes far beyond sports. It reminds us that life's greatest victories are often measured not on the scoreboard, but in the relationships we build, the values we uphold, and the courage we find when facing life's challenges. Its themes of faith, resilience, friendship, sacrifice, and personal growth resonate across generations, making it a perfect evening for couples, friends, parents, grandparents, and football fans alike.

Adding to the experience are movie snacks, pre-show music, and an optional light buffet dinner, creating a welcoming atmosphere where guests can relax, connect, and enjoy an evening out together.
